👩🏽‍💻 Eligibility Requirements

Prospective candidates must provide evidence of acceptance into an accredited nursing program, which can be located anywhere in the world. In addition to the acceptance letter, two letters of recommendation and a personal statement focused on a nursing career should be submitted. All applications must be submitted through the STA application portal between July 1st and August 31st each year. Letters of recommendation must come directly from the referee and must include the names of the applicant, and the nursing school of the applicant to be considered. Each applicant must provide two individuals familiar with their educational and personal backgrounds. These individuals must not be parents, relatives or friends of the applicant.

📝 Basis of Award

The STA Scholarship Committee will select the candidates based on the merit of the application package. The scholarship package must include the completed application form below, the applicant's personal statement, and the names and contact information of two references. The references must be individuals with whom the applicant has an academic or professional relationship (e.g., teachers, employers, or principals). The scholarship will be awarded primarily based on financial need and academic qualifications; career goals, projects/accomplishments/educational plans. Only applications received online and before the closing date will be considered for review and selection.
